A muse and changes

Rather unusually, my working week runs Tuesday to Saturday. So this is me enjoying the first hour of my weekend (yay!).

It has left me feeling rather reflective about the entire experience of this week. Honestly, the last time I was aware of what was happening it was Tuesday morning. This morning I had to check what day it was with my mother-in-law (I work around the corner from her so we share a lift).

This entire reflection doesn’t make any sense unless I tell you what I’ve been hiding from you all for the last week (sorry!).

About 2 weeks ago my husband and I put an offer for a house – a week later it was accepted 🙂 So you can’t tell anyway in case you jinx it – but we are due to be moving in hopefully by the end of August. Which is really exciting and means I will have to be a proper adult with actual bills and stuff fairly soon. I’m pretty sure than will mean I have less expendable income to buy wool and other craft materials. Although it will mean that this will focus me to finish my collection of WIP projects. 🙂

In addition to this, we’re also housesitting for some friends – so my routine is totally up in the air this week. We’re swapping between spending the evenings at the house and popping home to start sorting through all our stuff. Both of us felt like we needed to be doing something productive in regards to preparing for the move. Thankfully, after the #minsgame the other month, there is a lot less stuff to wade through.

So as you can imagine, the jogging habit I was carefully nurturing has gone out of the window this week. Hopefully if this rain stops I will be able to get back out on the pavement! I feel like I need one today – definitely feeling a little restless.

Tonight my inlaws will be coming over for dinner. I’m cooking Lasagne from scratch – which I have done before. But it won’t leave much time for a jog 😦
